VTN and Partners is Coming to the South and Appoints ex-Senior GC in Energy and Infrastructure as Partner, Head of Ho Chi Minh City Office

Ho Chi Minh City, July 03, 2026 – VTN and Partners takes the pleasure in the appointment of Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan as our Partner, Head of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Office. Nhan will lead the new office and strengthen VTN’s energy and infrastructure practice.

The expansion will extend VTN’s established corporate, M&A, and banking and finance capabilities into southern Vietnam – the centre of the country’s industrial energy demand, renewable energy and infrastructure development.

Vietnam is in the middle of an energy transition and infrastructure development. The renewable projects, LNG infrastructure, nuclear energy, construction of infrastructure, green capital markets – this is not future tense. It is happening now, and the legal and commercial work behind it is densely in the south. VTN is coming south to do that work.

Our HCMC Office practice will start with what we do best:

Energy project structuring

Solar, wind, LNG, nuclear, gas-to-power. From regulatory licensing through to commercial close.

Project finance and contracts

PPAs, EPC, O&M, financing structures. The paperwork that makes projects bankable.

Cross-border investment

Joint ventures between local developers and international capital. Energy M&A. Foreign investment structuring.

Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan

Nhan joins VTN from a senior in-house role as Head of Legal at a prominent Vietnamese conglomerate operating across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. He advised the board across the full life cycle of projects – development, M&A, joint ventures, capital raising through equity and debt, and regulatory compliance at every stage. His practice at VTN HCMC will focus on infrastructure and energy project development, project finance, and cross-border M&A.
